Our work brings together vegetable farming, value addition, women’s economic empowerment, seedling propagation and sustainable agriculture to create stronger livelihoods and healthier communities.
We started our journey by producing fresh vegetables such as capsicum, tomatoes, managu (African nightshade), and sukuma wiki (kales).
Our production combines open-field and greenhouse farming, giving us practical experience in different growing systems and helping us supply nutritious vegetables to local markets.
In 2025, we expanded into the drying, packaging and sale of African leafy vegetables.
This allows us to extend shelf life, reduce post-harvest losses and create more value from vegetables produced by Saliamo Agri-Ventures and community farmers.
We work with Blessed Hands Women Group, a registered community group that brings women farmers together around agriculture, value addition and income generation.
Women produce vegetables while Saliamo Agri-Ventures supports processing, packaging and marketing. This creates a model where farmers can participate in more than one stage of the agricultural value chain.
Our tree seedling propagation project supports environmental conservation, climate resilience and sustainable land management.
By encouraging households and farmers to plant trees, we help strengthen landscapes while creating another productive activity for women in the community.
Our coffee propagation project creates an opportunity to support farmers with planting materials while opening another income-generating pathway for women.
We see coffee propagation as part of a broader strategy to diversify agricultural enterprises and strengthen household resilience.
Sustainability connects every part of our work. We aim to promote farming approaches that strengthen productivity while caring for natural resources and helping farmers adapt to changing conditions.
From reducing food waste through drying to propagating tree seedlings, our goal is to build agricultural enterprises that can grow responsibly over time.
