Saliamo Agri-Ventures was founded in 2022 with a focus on sustainable agriculture, vegetable production, value addition, and the economic empowerment of women and smallholder farmers. We began by producing fresh vegetables including capsicum, tomatoes, managu (African nightshade), and kales through open-field and greenhouse farming. As our experience grew, we saw the opportunity to build stronger local agricultural value chains by working directly with farmers in our community.
